Kiss the Pig contest
New to the Idaho County Fair this year is the Kiss The Pig Contest.
Votes for the candidates can be purchased at the CWF (Citizenship Washington Focus) booth during the Fair.  The candidate with the most votes by Saturday at 1:00 p.m. will be the winner.  The winner will be announced during the Livestock Sale when the Grand Champion pig comes into the sale ring.  The winner will kiss the pig before it is sold.
This event is a fundraiser for our Citizenship Washington Focus group.  Idaho County 4-H youth participating in this program have made a commitment to learn more about our government, raise funds and plan a trip to Washington DC.  They will learn more about our government and our nation’s capitol by completing this citizenship project for 3 years.  This delegation will travel to DC the summer of 2012.
Our delegates will stay at the national 4-H Center with other 4-H’ers from all over the United States. This unique 4-H project combines educational workshops with educational field trips and professional consultations.
The Citizenship Washington Focus project will help youth understand how their individual actions can make a difference in the world.
