Grangeville clinic to open Aug. 30
The Grangeville Medical Clinic administered by St. Mary’s Hospital will officially open its doors on Monday, August 30th.  It will be open five days per week and regularly staffed by Dr Jeremy Ostrander on Mondays; Megan Wilson, FNP,PNP on Wednesdays and Dr. Andrew Gilbert on Fridays.  Both doctors are family practice physicians and Wilson is a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  The providers who will staff the SMH Grangeville Medical and PT Clinic view a digital Xray on a mounted screen.  Pictured are Dr. Jeremy Ostrander, Gary McEwen, PT, Dr. Andrew Gilbert and Megan Wilson, FNP, PNP.
“When Dr. Marc Farnworth joins our staff next summer we plan on having medical services available five days per week in Grangeville. Until then we’ll have medical services three days per week and other health related services on Tuesdays and Thursdays,” said Dr. Gilbert.  “Dr. Farnworth will also see patients in our other satellite clinics so our patients will have easy access to medical care at whichever clinic is convenient for them,”
The provider based clinic will be located at 617 West North Street in the SMH owned building where Grangeville Physical Therapy is located.  GPT will continue to provide services in half the building and the medical clinic will occupy the space formerly used by Drs. Jim and Michelle Gardner.
“We’re proud to offer our medical services to patients in the Grangeville area including those who live in the communities further south in Riggins, White Bird and Elk City,” said Marge Kuchynka, SMHC Board President.  “St Mary’s has a history of providing medical care to patients in their own communities.  We opened our first clinic in Nezperce in 1979 and our Kamiah Medical Clinic in 1983.  The Cottonwood Clinic began serving patients shortly afterwards and our Craigmont Medical Clinic opened in 1995.  The Grangeville clinic will save patients the commute to Cottonwood which can be costly, time consuming and difficult in the winter.”
St. Mary’s also administers physical therapy clinics in Grangeville and Kamiah and partners with Clearwater Valley Hospital and Clinics in Orofino which administers provider based clinics in Orofino, Pierce and Kooskia.
“We’re looking forward to seeing patients in our Grangeville Medical Clinic,” said Dr. Gilbert.  “Dr Ostrander, Megan and I are very committed to this area.  Our doctors have been with St. Mary’s for as long as 26 years.  Jeremy and I have each been here for over four years and are looking forward to a long history, too.”  Wilson is originally from Cottonwood and returned three years ago to be closer to her family.  The health care providers will admit their patients to St. Mary’s Hospital when they require inpatient care.
Appointments for the SMH Grangeville Medical Clinic can be made by calling  983-6027 Monday through Friday.
