Veterans Day program planned
The Prairie Schools will be observing Veterans Day on November 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Prairie Middle School.  All Veterans and their family members are invited to attend.  We would like to honor our Veterans who have selflessly served our country in times of peace and times of war.  Students have several musical selections planned and student councils are helping with the planning and preparations.  A moving video “Veterans of USA” by the Goad family will be played.  Veterans in attendance will be asked to introduce themselves, and if they’d like, share a story about their experience in the military.
We would like to encourage Veterans or their family members to submit pictures of Veterans for our “Wall of Honor”.  Photos can be turned in at any school or emailed to Laurie Karel at karel@sd242.k12.id.us.  Please include the name of the Veteran, their branch of the  military and their rank, and if you’d like, their connection or relationship to students in our schools.  We do have quite a few Veterans photos on hand that were collected in previous years, but the last time we had pictures submitted was several years ago.   Thank you Veterans!  We hope to see you on November 11th.

We hope that you join us and remember it is through active response that we truly live out God’s call of love for our families, church and community. May God bless your month and have a safe and grace-filled Thanksgiving!
