Good turnout for radio talk with Santa
We would like to thank everyone who came out on December 4, 2010 to talk to Santa Claus on the Ham Radio. We had a really great turnout, with 49 people being able to communicate with Santa! We would like to extend a very special thank you to the businesses who allowed us to set up in their establishments – Midway Foods in Nezperce; Bishop’s Bistro in Grangeville; Cloninger’s Harvest Foods in Kamiah; and Barney’s in Orofino.
3 Rivers A.R.C. held their annual Christmas Party on December 14th in Kamiah. We would like to thank the businesses who contributed door prizes for the party – the prizes made the party even more fun! Thanks go out to Palenque’s in Grangeville, Bishop’s Bistro in Grangeville, Stites Hardware in Stites, Irwin Drug in Grangeville, My Health Food Store in Kooskia, Will Rambeau of Orofino, The Hilltop Café in Grangeville, Les Schwab Tire in Grangeville, True Value in Kamiah, Roxanne’s Hallmark in Kamiah, Johnson’s Jewelry in Kamiah, Clearwater Valley Foods in Kooskia, Kooskia Feed Store, Sunset Mart in Kooskia, and The Hearthstone Bakery in Kamiah. These businesses were extremely generous during this holiday season and again, we extend a huge thank you to each and every one of them!!
On December 18, 2010, the 3 Rivers A.R.C. provided emergency radio communications for the Jingle Bell Fun Run in Nezperce. We are happy to report there were no accidents or injuries during this year’s fun run! Congratulations to everyone who participated in this fun run – it was a great time!!
A huge congratulations goes out to Joseph and IlaVay Grammer, who won the drawing for the cross stitch! We appreciate everyone who made donations to this drawing!
Don’t forget our next club meeting. It will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Lewis-Clark Resort in Kamiah, Idaho. We encourage ALL club members to make a special effort to attend this meeting, as we will be holding elections for the 2011 club officials!!!
CONGRATULATIONS to our newest ham radio operators!! Linda Threewit, Joseph Grammer, Kathy Brucks, Will Rambeau, Max Hale, and Karen Finch. We look forward to hearing your voices on the radio!
