Background on play producers
Michelle and daughter Andrea Hale have enjoyed theater production and directing for over three years. After recognizing the need for arts in education and seeing the talent in the Salmon River area they began to organize the Riggins Community Theater. The mother daughter team has been producing top notch children’s plays since 2007. The two have produced over 12 plays in three years.
Michelle’s educational background is in early childhood education. She has taught kindergarten and preschool. She has worked as a Title I teacher, and a district test coordinator. Most recently she leaves the Salmon River School District as their After School director and administrator. She loves children and has an aptitude to organize fun and creative ways to improve education in students of all ages.
Andrea is in the elementary education program at Lewis and Clark State College. She has been working with children for over three years in several capacities; junior cheer coach, basketball coach, teacher’s aide, and her latest accomplishment of director and producer of her first solo children’s summer theater production of “There is a Monster in my Closet”.
With a passion for the arts and a passion for kids, Michelle and Andrea developed a passion for putting the two together. The outcome: The One Week Wonders Production Company!
The One Week Wonders Production Company operates with three people, Michelle Hale, Andrea Hale, and the newest edition Allycia Hale. The three look forward to sharing the love of the performing arts with your children. They will teach your children how to produce, act and experience a real production.
Michelle has written the play “Trolls in the Land of Fae” that will be performed in Cottonwood on Friday, March 18 at 1:00 and 7:00 at Prairie High School.. It’s an epic tale of Fairies who portray good healthy choices, and Trolls who have chosen selfish and ugly consequences, the results of sad choices. Between the two they find there is not enough room in the Land of Fae for Trolls and Fairies. You don’t want to miss out on this enchanting tale.
The One Week Wonders work with kids of all ages, they are experienced and fun to experience yourself!   Try-Outs for this play will take place on Thursday, March 10 at 3:30 in the Cottonwood Community Hall.  This event is sponsored by the Center For Discovery.
