Library News
Linda Stubbers from Greencreek will be our next guest artist at the Library, starting this week.  She has been painting for 20 years on and off.  She got her start in painting when a friend invited her to an art class in Craigmont years ago.  She was impressed with the teacher and got hooked on painting.  She has entered her paintings in the Idaho County Fair and also the Central Idaho Art Association Spring Shows for about 10 years.  Linda has won awards for her paintings.
Linda likes to work with both oil and water colors.  “I love oils, the way it looks, and the fact that it is easy to correct mistakes.  Water color is easy to take along and to clean up.  I enjoy the look of water color paintings.”
Linda and Lewis Stubbers have been living on Lewis’ family farm the entire time they were married, and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  They have four children and eight grand children.  Her other hobby is scrap booking.  Linda and Lewis are members of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Choir in Greencreek, where he sings and she plays the guitar.  They are retired from farming, but still keep busy doing volunteer work in the community.
Some of the pictures are for sale, some are not.  They will be on display until May 15, 2011.  Linda enjoys doing art and sharing her talent with public.  So stop by and see her wonderful paintings on your next visit to the library.  We have more new book arrivals to check out.  Please give us more suggestions of titles to look for.
For those of you who do not like to do stairs, we have put a door bell on the elevator so you can just ring it and we will help you get down.  It moves very slowly to bring you gently down to the bottom where the door is.
