Historical Society to have guest speaker
The Lewis County Historical Society is pleased to have Dr. Steve Russell from Ames, Iowa, as special guest speaker at their meeting on Monday, July 11.
In addition to being a retired associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at Iowa State University, Dr. Russell is also a noted Lewis and Clark trail mapper and provided the cartography for the 2001 book Across the Snowy Ranges with James R. Fazio and Mike Venso.
Russell will discuss early trails and roads across the Camas Prairie and will have maps and other visual aids available.
