Library News
New arrivals this week include The Whispered Kiss, by author Marcia Lyn McClure.  Demonic, How the liberal mob is endangering America, by Ann Coulter, #1 New York Times best selling author.  The Politically Incorrect guide to Science by Tom Bethell, The Politically Incorrect Guide to English and American Literature by Elizabeth Kantor, Ph.D. and The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History by Thomas E. Woods, Jr., Ph.D.
ATTENTION STAR TREK LOVERS!  For the next two weeks the Library will feature the collection of Star Trek books for your reading pleasure.
There is quite a number of singles plus 3 sets of series, a great variety to choose from.  Come on down and take a look.  These have been in the Library for some time but were shelved high on a back wall and very over looked and under read.  They are now very visible and have a front row seat on the new shelves.
Recently we reminded the community that used ink cartridges were welcome at the Library as they have a trade in value.  If you wish to drop them off on a day the Library is closed, please just leave them down the stairs at the back door.
If your membership card at the Library has expired you will soon be receiving a notice in the mail along with raffle tickets for a beautiful quilt to be given away at the Bräts and Brew event November 5th.  Please help us by selling these in support of the library.  Also, the Bräts and Brew is the only fund raiser for the Library and is only successful through your community support.  To the great cooks out there, find those favorite German recipes and enter them in the competition which is only six weeks away.  This includes you Bräts makers and Brew meisters.  It will be a fun filled evening so get your entries in early.  The deadline is November. 1st.   The band "The Coffey Twins and the Satins" will be here for your listening and dancing pleasure.  Again there will be a silent and live auction.   Last year was a huge success and this year will be even better.  Tickets will be available soon so get your tickets in advance as there will be only 200 tickets sold.  The price will be $15.00 per person which includes the dance.
