Kelly Williams was selected as the first Employee of the Month for 2012. She has worked in the  SMH
Cottonwood Clinic since 2004 as an admit clerk. Some of her duties
include checking in patients, answering phone and scheduling appoint-ments.
Her most important job is to ensure that the patients have a pleasant experience
while at the clinic.
Kelly graduated from Nezperce High School, attended North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene and worked as a legal secretary for 24 years prior to joining the Cottonwood Clinic staff. She was interested in the medical field and enjoys people so she felt the clinic would be a good fit for her. She feels the patients, her co-workers and the doctors and nurses are part of her extended family; whether they want to be or not. “We have an outstanding team at the clinic and I am honored to be surrounded by such awesome people,” comment Williams. When Kelly’s not working at the clinic, she’s enjoying her life on the ranch and the fact that she is able to work alongside her husband, Wally, whom she has been married to for 21 years. One of her favorite times on the ranch is calving season. She also especially enjoys horseback riding, camping, fishing, volleyball and anything that has to do with her family; including babysitting the grandkids. Kelly is very proud of her family which includes her three children; Dana, Cody and Wyatt. She also has three beautiful grand-children; Payton, Gage and Rhett, a son-in-law; Scott and daughter-in-law; Jessica. “I really enjoy people; with old cowboys and babies topping the list,” said Kelly. “There is nothing like a smile from a baby or an off-colored joke from an old cowpoke.” I am a practical joker at heart and I love to make people laugh and as they say ‘laughter is the best medicine’ so I am just trying to do my part here at the clinic.” |
