No baseball team this year
Prairie couldn’t get enough bodies turned out for baseball this spring and had to drop the program for this year.
For those that still wanted to play, Prairie worked out a co-op with Kamiah. Only Clark Bruno and Garrett Roush are taking advantage.
Prairie decided to go with Kamiah because it was least disruptive to the other program. If they had gone together with Grangeville, Nezperce or Highland, the enrollment numbers would have kicked them into a higher classification necessitating a lot of rescheduling. Prairie and Kamiah together are still in the 2A class where Kamiah is competing this year before dropping to 1A next year.

10-Week Shoot finishes
The early spring weather provided some rather unique challenges as all in all there was wind, rain, sleet, snow, and then a little sunshine to wrap things up for the Cottonwood Gun Club in the Camas Prairie Trapshooting Association's 10 week shoot.
Getting things going in AA class, Andy Uhlorn fired a 21 with Pepper Harman, Lowell Mader and Ralph Terhaar all shooting 20.
Brandon Poxleitner and Jesse Bruegeman topped A class this week, each hitting 23, while Darrell Uhlorn and Jake Rowland both notched 22.
In B class, Shane Poxleitner was top gun with the high score of the day, hitting 24.  Bob Lustig and Butch Spencer each had 21.
C class was led by Dave Poxleitner's 23, with Ben Havens not far of the pace, hitting 21.
Top score for the day in D class was Stacey Harman with a 21, followed by 20's from Dallas Frei and Garrett Scmidt.
In Long Handicap, Ralph Terhaar and Andy Uhlorn both managed 16.
In Short Handicap, Kami Sickels led, hitting 23, followed by a glut of 22's from Brandon Poxleitner, Roger Kaschmitter, Jake Rowland, Brad Poxleitner, Kyle Bruegeman, and Jesse Bruegeman.
Doubles were being shot in a mild snow storm, which made things mildly entertaining. Brandon Poxleitner took charge with a 36, followed by Jake Rowland's 32 and Shane Poxleitner's 29.
Finally in Continentals, Jake Rowland led the way with 21 with Glenn Remacle and Shane Poxleitner not far off the mark with 18.
The Cottonwood Gun Club's awards Banquet is scheduled for Sunday March 31st.  Class winners and special awards will be announced then.
