Spring has arrived and your American Cancer Society's Clearwater To Salmon Rivers Relay For Life planning committee and teams have some exciting things going on in the next couple of weeks. On Saturday April 21st "The Clowns" will be hosting Le' Beef for The Cure. This is a prime rib or shrimp dinner, drinks, dessert, games, door prizes, entertainment and an auction with some really amazing items. The tickets are $25.00 per person and can be purchased from Carolyn at 208-983-6392 or Tami at 208-983-6505. The dinner is at 5:00 at the Community Hall in Cottonwood. On Monday April 23 at 6:00 we will be having a tour of the resource center followed by a short meeting. Committee members and team captains are urged to attend and see what the resource center is all about. If you need more information just give me a call. We will also be taking a group picture at this time to hopefully use on the bill boards outside of town. Wear either your 50's finery or your yellow relay shirts. It should be an awesome picture with all of your smiling faces. On April 28th and 29th the Grangeville Gun Club is sponsoring a benefit for the Relay. It will be from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm both days. This is a really good chance to do some fund raising. St,. Mary's / St Gertrude's team is going to be selling home made bread and we have a couple of other teams interested in having a table. Put your heads together and come up with some more ideas. This is a nationally sanctioned shoot so they will have people from all over the country and this is a way we can introduce Relay For Life to others. Our area communities will be having teams involved in city-wide yard sales in the weeks coming up so be watching for the dates. Don't forget to get your tickets for Le' Beef For The Cure on Saturday, the 21st. Whoo Hoo!! |
