Nez Perce cultural demonstration set for Spalding Park
Julia Allman, a member of the Nez Perce Tribe will be demonstrating traditional Nez Perce crafts at the Nez Perce National Historical Park Visitor Center at Spalding on  Saturday and Sunday, July 7 and 8, 2012 and on Friday, July 13. She will be demonstrating from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm each day. 
Allman is skilled in the art of weaving, using materials such as corn husk, yarn and other plants to create these weavings. She is also skilled in other traditional crafts. We invite the public to watch her work and talk with her about her art. 
The Spalding Visitor Center is located on Highway 95, approximately 12 miles south of Lewiston and three miles north of Lapwai. The Center also has exhibits, a 23 minute movie, hiking trails and a picnic area.
