Golf Tournament held

This weekend’s Knight of Columbus golf tournament was held at the Grangeville Country Club.  The event will net over $5,000 for the Knights of Columbus with the proceeds being distributed to numerous charities.  Pictured, representing LiveWire Electric, sponsors of the winning team are from left to right Erika Shears, Isaak Shears, Alexis Shears, Derrik Shears, Kris Shears, and Isaiah  Shears.  Ned Waters and his team composed of Ned, Brad Schaff, Marty Willis, and Dave Dahlosrud tied for first place with a 10 under par and came out on top after the coin toss.  The Bryan Higgins team made up of Bryan, Bryson Higgins, Mark Vanderwall, and Darrel Berry, after the coin toss, took second.  Finishing a close third was the Ed Eckert team with team members of Ed, Lin Beck, Dave Jones, and Nichole Lang.  There were 13 total teams.

The duck race was exciting again this year and run in conjunction with the KC Golf Tournament.  Ducks are bought, and in some cases named, they are all placed in the stream at one time and raced to the finish line.  If you could take away the sticks, rocks, undercurrents, etc. the first duck to hit the water would win……luckily for the spectators of 35 more or less it is a duck fight to the end.  The eventual winner of the event was Terry Heartburg, pictured, with a cash take of $183.
