Library News
Happy fall, Ya’All.   Football and fall just go together. Last week was a busy one throughout the community especially with Homecoming week and its festivities. For those of you who missed it, the parade was full of school spirit, from elementary through senior high. Hours of time and energy were spent preparing and decorating the floats. The band sounded great and everyone was having a grand time. It is wonderful to see such enthusiasm. The game was another HUGE success except for the injuries. A speedy recovery to those athletes. Congratulations kids and coaches and a special congratulations to our recently featured “young artist of the month” Andrea Kaschmitter, who was crowned Homecoming Queen.
Coming up soon is the fourth annual Bräts and Brew Event. Now is the time to reserve a table for your group and to gear up for the contest. Once again there will be a special table reserved for those of you single ladies (or guys) who don’t want to sit alone. As in the past the German recipe book will be available in the library for you to select and copy from. There are many delicious dishes to choose from. You Brew Masters are on your own as we do not have recipes for brew. The home made sauerkraut is in the making. Donations are being accepted. A silent and live auction will be held. There will be a special contest and drawings will be held. Volunteers are welcome. The Coffee Twins and the Satins are back by popular demand. Only 200 tickets are available. This is the major fund raiser for the Library so show your support and we will guarantee you a fun filled evening. Tickets will be on sale soon.
