Veterans' Day program planned
Prairie Schools will be having a Veterans’ Day program Monday, Nov. 12 starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Prairie Elementary School gym.
Everyone is invited to attend the program - especially Veterans and their families.
Local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will Present the Colors and the PHS Band will play the Star Spangled Banner.  Students will welcome the Veterans. Elementary students will sing several patriotic songs and share a music video, a tribute to honor "The Veterans of the USA". The PHS Band will play several other Patriotic selections.
Guest speaker is Retired Lieutenant Colonel Loren Crea of the United States Air Force.
At this time the VFW will recognize winners of the Patriot's Pen and Voice of Democracy competitions.
There will be a collection of more than 100 photos of local Veterans that will be on display.  To add to this collection - please scan and email a picture of a Veteran that you know and send to Laurie Karel at karel@sd242.k12.id.us  or, bring it to one of the schools and we can scan it for you. These photos can be formal military photos, or casual ones from when they were in the service, or relaxing at home with their family and friends.  Thank you very much for helping us with this collection.  God Bless our Veterans and their families
