Ministry schedule for March
Dear Youth in Christ, The greatness of hope lies in our hearts as we continue our journey of lent during this month of March. It is in hope that we look for the first signs of spring. We also look for hope as we head toward the Easter season and wait for the news of the resurrected Christ. We wait, we hope, we rejoice. This path of faith brings with it an invitation to join us as we grow together as a young church living out our Catholic identity. We begin the month with an invitation to our peer ministers who will be hosting this months REACH sessions for our Jr. High and High School youth. Please meet @ Debbie’s office @ 3:30. We will continue our week by preparing for the upcoming ICYC event. On Thursday the God Squad (teens leading the Idaho Catholic youth convention in Boise) will be leaving from St. Mary’s parking lot @ 11:30 a.m. Please bring any assigned items for the weekend. On Friday March 8th all youth signed up for the Idaho Catholic Youth Convention will be leaving from St. Mary’s Church Parking lot @ 10:00 a.m. Please bring your snacks and assigned items for the weekend. Also bring a heart open to the possibilities for the weekend. We ask that the communities hold us in prayer as we travel to Boise for this convention. We have 44 people attending so please keep us all in prayer as step into new opportunities for faith and discipleship. The Haiti mission team will be hosting another jewelry sale during the weekend Masses on the 16th, 17, 23rd, 24th. We decided to do this because we had several people who wanted to purchase item but did not have the opportunity during our last sale. Please mark you calendar for these dates. We will have great things for First Communion. Thank you for your support. On March 13th the High School and Jr. High youth are invited down to the OMG youth room for our themed movie night of “Up”. Please dress according to the theme. A prize will be awarded for the best costume! On March 15th at 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church the Confirmation youth will host the Stations of the Cross. We will be doing living stations. Please join us on this great walk of faith. The Confirmation class will meet at the High School Peace Building on March 17th @ 7:00 p.m. Please bring your assignments and journals. On March 18th the small group Bible Study will meet in Debbie’s office @ 6:30 for pizza. The Bible study will go from 7:00-8:00. All High School youth are invited. Our REACH session will be on March 20th at the OMG. Praise and worship will begin at 6:30 and our session will begin at 7:00 p.m. All Jr. High and High School youth are invited to attend this great session. Our theme is “ Our precious life”. On March 27th we will come together for a social. This social will be announced later so please watch the bulletin. On Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday we have the opportunity to come together to live out the greatest sacrifice and gift that God has ever given us. We come together as a Church on each of these nights to watch with Jesus, walk with Jesus, die with Jesus, and rise with Jesus. This gathered time is so sacred and gives us each the hope of new life. It is here that we are challenged to live out our resurrected lives as new people born of water and spirit. On Saturday we have 4 young people making this walk. Ally Hale will be baptized into the Catholic Church and Kevin, Kyle, Katarina Tillinghast will receive their first Communion.
