Library News
What a week at the Library. The regular open days was business as usual with various activities taking place. New books are being added each working day.  For those of you who have requested LARGE PRINT BOOKS. We now have eight recently published ones by various authors.
Among them are, “The Bourne Imperative“, “The First Warm Evening of the Year“, “After the Rain“, “A Town called Valentine”, and “Little Princess“ . If you are a fan of Janet Evanovich, her book, “The Husband List” is now available. Also, “Beach” and “Porch Light” by Dorothea Benton Frank-Folly are ready to be checked out. Another requested book, “Highest Duty” about the life of the pilot who landed his passenger plane in the Hudson River, is available in regular print. Check them out.
Wednesday was a work day and a very productive one at that. 11 work crew members arrived ready to work. Not only did they get all the books moved to their new locations but many other tasks were also completed. These guys came willing and able to do anything asked of them. Every basement window was washed inside and out. Both downstairs entries received a good cleaning. The library was sparkling when they finished as was the elevator. Terry requested a couple to help paint his office. The store room was organized and cleaned along with the meeting room. Two of them even did the lunch dishes. What a nice group of men. It is always enjoyable to share a meal with them as they will eat anything the ladies prepare. They love the baked goodies along with soda and “real” coffee served during a break.
They assure us they are more than willing to come back when needed. Thanks Guy’s, you certainly made a difference.
