Spencer, Gehring takes firsts at Wildcat Invite
Peter Spencer in the 1600 and Brandi Gehring in the high jump were first place winners at the Wildcat Invitational Peter Spencer passes a Grangeville runner on the final corner of the 1600 as he went on to win at the Wildcat Invitational last Friday.Track Meet held at Lapwai Friday, April 12.
Spencer took the lead on the final corner of the 1600 and held on to win in 4:58.06. He also placed 3rd in the 800 in 2:11.35 and was 15th in the long jump at 15’10”.
Gehring had a season best mark of 4’6” to win the high jump. She was also 7th in the 100 meter hurdles in 19.27, 7th in the 300 hurdles in 58.44 and 15th in the 100 meter dash in 15.16.
Krystin Uhlenkott had a 2nd place finish in the long jump at 15’3” and was 6th in the 100 in 13.86. 
The girls 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams each placed 2nd as well. Keely Schmidt, Claire Whitley, Shelby VonBargen and Uhlenkott made up the lineup of both relays.
The 4x100 relay team of Schmidt, Whitley, Shayla VonBargen and Shelby VonBargen placed 4th in 55.87.
The medley relay team of Schmidt, Whitley, Sydeny Glimp and Shayla VonBargen placed 5th in 2:08.95.
Glimp was also 15th in the 200 in 32.32, 8th in the 400 in 1:16.30 and 9th in the triple jump at 25’1½”.
Heidi Holubetz was 3rd in the shot put at 30’4” and 11th in the discus at 71’3”.
Taylor Heitman was 7th in the discus at 81’8” and 15th in the shot put at 24’5½”.
Beth Dinning was 15th in the discus at 63’9” and 24th in the shot put at 21’5”.
Kirstin Latimer was 21st in the shot put at 22’3” and 24th in the discus at 49’11”.
Shayla VonBargen placed 6th in the high jump at 4’2”.
The girls team placed 5th with 61½ points.
For the boys team Tyler Hankerson placed 3rd in the triple jump at 37’2½”. He was also 23rd in the 100 at 12.61.
Jake Bruner was 5th in the triple jump at 37’1” and 7th in the long jump at 17’5”.
Hunter McWilliams was 5th in the 3200 in 11:35.79 and 11th in the 400 in 59.82.
Lucas Arnzen was 12th in the 100 in 11.95 and 6th in the 200 in 24.36.
Dakota Wilson was 34th in the 100 in 13.38 and 22nd in the 200 in 27.40.

Austin Sonnen was 37th in the 100 in 13.51, 16th in the 800 in 2:40.82 and 16th in the 1600 in 5:53.87.
Kevin Tillinghast was 40th in the 100 in 15.06, 28th in the 200 in 31.52 and 33rd in the discus at 59’10”.
Drew Cochran was 9th in the 1600 in 5:23.71, 11th in the 3200 in 12:29.44, 9th in the 300 hurdles in 49.71 and 22nd in the shot put at 32’3”.
Dylon Bruegeman was 12th in the 1600 in 5:35.08, 8th in the 3200 in 11:58.36 and 10th in the 300 hurdles in 51.98.
Gabe Angus was 13th in the 1600 in 5:39.07.
Westin Crenshaw was 19th in the shot put at 33’6” and 25th in the discus at 77’8”.
The 4x200 relay team of Angus, Hankerson, Bruner and Arnzen placed 4th in 1:40.31.
The 4x400 team of Angus, Hankerson, Spencer and Arnzen also placed 4th in 3:52.60. 
The 4x100 team of McWilliams, Wilson, Bruegeman and Angus placed 8th in 50.88.
As a team the boys placed 4th with 46 points.

Track team at Border War
The boys 4x200 and 4x400 relays were Prairie’s top finishers at the first ever Border War Track Meet held at Lapwai Tuesday, April 9.
The meet featured Idaho 1-A schools from District 2 against 1B/2B schools from southeastern Washington.Isaiah Shears bursts out of the blocks at the start of the 4x200 relay at the Border War.
The 4x200 relay team of Isaiah Shears, Tyler Hankerson, Jake Bruner and Lucas Arnzen had a time of 1:41.24 and the 4x400 team of Hunter McWilliams, Hankerson, Arnzen and Peter Spencer had a time of 3:59.93.
Bruner had the highest individual finish as he placed third in the triple jump at 37’6”. Right behind in 4th was Hankerson at 37’5”.
Bruner also placed 7th in the long jump at 17’4½” and 18th in the 200 at 26.47.
Arnzen placed 5th in the 100 in 12.20 and 4th in the 200 at 24.37.
Justin Ross was 6th in the 3200 in 12:05.15 and 10th in the 1600 in 5:17.47.
Austin Sonnen was 22nd in the 100 in 13.58, 20th in the 800 in 2:42.6 and 27th in the 1600 in 6:01.27.
Dakota Wilson was 23rd in the 100 in 13.62 and 26th in the 200 in 27.9.
Victor Schmidt was 33rd in the 100 in 14.37, 33rd in the 200 in 28.82 and 27th in the long jump at 14’3”.
McWilliams was 9th in the 1600 in 5:16.77 and 19th in the 200 in 26.76.
Kevin Tillinghast was 40th in the 100 in 15.54, 37th in the 200 in 31.20 and 42nd in the discus at 61’1”.
Dylon Bruegeman was 11th in the 400 in 1:04.05, 10th in the 3200 in 12:26.7 and 11th in the 300 hurdles in 52.75.
Drew Cochran was 19th in the 1600 in 5:33.49, 11th in the 3200 in 12:31.31, 7th in the 300 hurdles in 49.66 and 12th in the hot put at 33’6”.
Westin Crenshaw was 15th in the shot put at 31’8” and 16th in the discus at 85’8”.
Shears was 14th in the long jump at 16’1½”.
Spencer was 24th in the long jump at 14’11½”.
The 4x100 relay team of Shears, McWilliams, Bruegeman and Wilson placed 6th in 50.96.
For the girls the 4x200 and 4x400 relays were also their top finishers, each with a third place.

Uhlenkott had the top individual finish with a 4th place in the long jump at 15’1”. She also placed 6th in the 400 in 1:10.75.
Brandi Gehring had a 6th place finish in the high jump at 4’4” and was 8th in the 100 hurdles in 18.66, 9th in the 300 hurdles in 1:01.52 and 22nd in the 100 meter dash in 14.83.
Taylor Heitman was 6th in the discus at 85’6” and 16th in the shot put at 25’2”.
Heidi Holubetz was 7th in the shot put at 28’4” and 11th in the discus at 67.8”.
Whitley was 15th in the 100 in 14.35.
Schmidt was 6th in the 200 in 29.32.
Shelby VonBargen was 12th in the 200 in 30.21.
Shayla VonBargen was 14th in the 200 in 30.35 and 8th in the high jump at 4’2”.
Beth Dinning was 13th in the discus at 67’0” and 29th in the shot put at 20’8”.
Kirstin Latimer was 34th in the shot put at 19’0” and 36th in the discus at 42’0”.
The 4x100 relay team of Schmidt, VonBargen, VonBargen and Whitley was 4th in 56.90.
As a team the boys placed 7th with 46 points while the girls were 8th with 36½ points.
