Prairie hosts Core Standards training
Prairie Elementary School was host to a Discovery Education Idaho Core Standards Academy training on August 5 and 6th.  Leadership teams from five Region II Districts met to discuss and explore the implications for curriculum, instruction, and assessment as a result of the Idaho Core Standards shift.
Leaders from each district will share this information with members in their districts.  October 3 and 4 teacher in-service days will move all teachers in the five districts into lesson and unit  planning around the standards.  Lesson planning templates and models will be presented and time for discussion and preparation of those plans will be part of the in-service.
Kamiah, Culdesac, Cottonwood, Nezperce and Craigmont districts are part of the Region II Consortium working together to build strong support for small schools and professional development. Pooling the amazing talent from each of these districts is key to continued support for all students.
