Academy training
Prairie Elementary was host to a Khan Academy training on August 13. Cottonwood , Orofino and Department of Corrections each received a grant to implement online math support for students in grades 3-9 and adult learners. The grant provided professional development money and technology to the schools listed above. Common Core Standards implementation was addressed in this workshop. Trainers from NNU joined us. Members in attendance from Cottonwood School District were Kim Schumacher, Colleen Sonnen, Sherry Holthaus, Jeff Martin, Krystal Ellis, Jessica Vanderwall, Becky Higgins, Rene' Forsmann and Vikki Riener. From North Idaho Corrections: Bill Farmer, Patricia Green and Kevin Rehder.
