McHugh is featured artisan
Emily McHugh is the featured artisan for this month. She is the daughter of Susie Keating and is a Junior at Prairie High School.
She does various types of art work. Painting on wood, paper, and glass bottles is a fun way to turn simple items into works of art. Emily also does ceramics. The moon she shaped and did the designs before firing it.
Emily says, “I love painting, it's one of my favorite things to do.” She has been painting since she took her first class as a freshman. Before that she did drawing and doodling. She works with acrylics and likes experimenting with different types of art. She in her third year of art class.
Emily was crowned 2nd Princess at the Idaho County Fair this year. “I'm really looking forward to representing the county throughout the next year.”
She has one older sister, Samantha. She wants to be an account when she gets out of school, and wants to attend college at Whitworth or Washington State University.
Emily is very involved in the Tri-Parish Youth Group. She plans to go to Haiti in 2016. She is looking forward to that trip. In the meantime she likes being outdoors, doing fun things like 4-wheeling, fishing and camping with her family.
Come to the library and see what our Princess Emily can do. She is a delightful young lady with much talent and a promising future.
