Showcase, conferences set for next week
Parent-teacher conferences at Prairie Junior/Senior High School will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2014 and Thursday, March 27, 2014  - 3:30-7:00 P.M.  
There will be no school on Friday, March 28, 2014.
Also during the time frame of the parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday the staff at Prairie Jr/Sr High School will again present its annual Showcase Night.  We invite all students and their parents/guardians to our Showcase Night where we will have an opportunity to show examples of the outstanding work students have completed during the school year.  Community members are also welcome.  All of our teachers will be providing exhibits.  We will again be providing dinner from 5:30-7:00 in the cafeteria.  Overall, it will be an outstanding evening for all, and we invite you to join us.  Below is an itinerary for the evening:
3:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Exhibits on 1st ,2nd , and 3rd  floors of Prairie Jr/Sr High School
Free dinner in cafeteria from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Drawings will be held at the end of the evening for a free quilt for all in attendance.  All parents need to stop in the library to enter the drawing.  
 A prize will be given to a GEARUP student in grades 7-9 who put their name in that evening for the drawing.   
College 101 Presentation with Rachel Peasley from LCSC in Mrs. Workman’s room at 6:30 p.m. 
 In addition, the sewing classes will have finished projects and works in progress on display for your viewing in the library.  
A second drawing will be held for a Kindle Fire for two GEAR UP students in grades 8 & 9.  To be eligible to win the Kindle Fire the student and at least one parent/guardian must attend a College 101 Presentation by Rachel Peasley from Lewis Clark State College.  It will be held in the Mrs. Workman’s room from 6:30-7:00 p.m.   All students and parents are welcome to attend the College 101 Preparation Session, but only GEAR UP students are eligible to win the Kindle Fire.  
Junior students and their parents will hold a Senior Project meeting in the high school cafeteria at 7:00 p.m. after the Showcase Event- Wednesday, March 26, 2014.  All juniors and their parents will receive Senior Project information and we will discuss senior project proposals.  The State of Idaho requires all students to complete a senior project to graduate.
