Summer Reading Program starts Thursday
On Thursday, June 19th, at 1:00 at the Prairie Community Library the first session of the summer reading program begins.  All children, pre-k through 6th grade are invited to participate.
Fizz, Pop Camp is the theme for this first session.  It will be sure to include our own “Mad Scientist”, games, costumes, experiments and READING!  All participants are being asked to bring a white t-shirt which will be decorated during this first session, if possible.  Registration will begin at 1:00 on Thursday.  Participants will not only be joining in weekly fun at the library, but will also set reading goals, earn prizes and may compete for overall prizes to be awarded at the conclusion of the summer session.  Remember, over 30 years of studies consistently show that students who do not continue reading over the summer lose as much as 3 to 4 months of academic progress according to the Idaho Commission for Libraries.
For questions, please call the Prairie Community Library at 208-962-3714 or Annette Wemhoff at 208-983-0075.  Hope to see you on Thursday!
