presented Quilt of Valor
Some people say that having freedom doesn’t really mean you are free. Whether that is true or not the definition of freedom is: the power or right to act, speak, or think as they want without hindrance or resistance. Because of these veterans, just like my grandpa, we have freedom. Veterans do whatever they can to protect our freedom, so the least we can do is protect their bodily temperature. My grandma has been working on this quilt for my grandpa for about a month. She has waited for him to go to bed, or go to work, or just be out of the sewing room to work on this quilt. To me this quilt reminds me of this family, We are all little pieces sewn together by a bond. It is also a reminder that all those veterans are one stitch in the whole quilt. They hold the country together. I hope that every time my grandpa walks into the room that this quilt is in he remembers 3 things: That he is loved by his family. That he is loved by his country. And that he never quit anything without giving 100%. By presenting this quilt to you, grandpa, we would like to pay respect for you and for your time in the service. We thank you every last second that you served this country, and we hope you are proud of every last second of it also.
