Idaho Good Sams to hold state meeting at Cottonwood
The Idaho Good Sam state meeting is set for Cottonwood Sept. 11-13 at the Fairgrounds.
Frank Sargent, Assistant State Director for Area 2, Clearwater Region, estimates around 70 RV’s will be coming to Cottonwood. Some will start arriving on Wednesday, Sept. 10. This will mean about 140 people will be coming for the state business meeting.
In addition to the business meeting for the Idaho Good Sam Organization there will be lots of games, potlucks and possibly a catered meal.
Sargent has also lined up some entertainment with Dona Brown of Kamiah providing line dance lessons 1 evening. The next evening Hal Olson of Lewiston will be playing country/western music. The final night Josh Crosby and his band will be providing the entertainment.
Those attending the event may also do some local shopping and take short side trips to tourist attractions in the area.
Idaho has 25 Good Sam Clubs. The national Good Sam organization has more than 44,000 individual members. World-wide there are over 1.5 million members making it the world’s largest organization of recreational vehicle owners. Founded in 1966, club members originally promised to help fellow travelers on America’s highways. Good Sams are committed to “making RVing a safer and more rewarding experience.”
