Youth take part in 30-hour fast
This past weekend the 11th and 12th of October from 3am Saturday to 9am Sunday, 17 of the Tri Parish High School Youth took part in the 30 Hour Fast. A weekend spent in prayer with team building activities opened a window to what true hunger and poverty is like in the world. The youth formed three tribes, designated a chief, and built shelters out of cardboard duct tape and rope; among other activities. To help the less fortunate the youth begged in the rain with cardboard signs and designed flowerpots, all for donations sent to World Vision and Catholic Relief Services. Debbie Chicane lead the youth in their 30 hour journey of hunger, with the help of Clark Bruno, Calista Karel, and Glen Poxleitner. In addition a big thank you to the Knights of Columbus for providing breakfast for the youth and volunteers. For additional information and pictures of youth events go to; triparishchurches.net and click on the link  “On Mighty Ground Youth Ministry”. Thank you for your time and God bless for your help and support.
