Kaschmitter is employee of the month
“Kat exemplifies what an outstanding employee is,” said a co-worker when she was describing Katherine Kaschmitter,  the
January Employee of the Month for St. Mary’s Hospital. She went on
to say, “Kat is one of those individuals who is genuinely a nice and good
hearted person; is always very kind and considerate to all her co-workers
and patients. The patients love her. Kat makes St. Mary’s Hospital
stand out with her performance and personality.”
Kat began her career with SMH in September of 2012; and is currently the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for Dr. Bruner. Her responsibilities include entering patient vitals, carrying out orders from the doctors, assisting with procedures, dealing directly with patients and following up with patient messages and phone calls. “I’ve always been interested in the healthcare field,” said Kat. “I worked as a CNA at a Veteran’s Home and as a receptionist in a medical office while attending college. I just knew I wanted to do something in the medical field after working a while in that environment.” “I enjoy being involved with patient’s healthcare; helping them to improve their lives by making healthier choices,” commented Kat. Kat graduated from LCSC in 2006 with an Associates in Applied Science in Medical Assisting. In her spare time Kat enjoys spending time with family and friend and recently started to teach yourself how to knit. Her family includes her husband Shawn, 3 year old Mathias and 9 month old Lillia. |
