Kelly Williams is employee of the year
After the ballots were cast and carefully counted Kelly Williams, Admit Manager for St. Mary’s Hospital and Kelly Williams has been named the St. Mary’s Hospital employee of the year for 2014.Clinics was selected as the 2014 Employee of the Year.  Each SMH employee received a ballot in December listing the Employees of the Month for 2014, from that list they voted on who they felt was most deserving of the honor of Employee of the Year.  The announcement was made at the annual employee appreciation dinner on January 29th.
According to a co-worker; “Kelly is always positive, she is constantly trying to improve how things are done and she supports her staff.  She goes the extra distance for our patients and fellow employees; she keeps the environment professional and caring; she is a true asset to SMH.”
Kelly began working for SMH in 2004 as an Admitting Clerk and was promoted to Assistant Clinic Manager in June of 2012 and become Admit Manager in March of 2013.  “I feel more like a team leader, with a bit more responsibility, than a boss,” said Kelly.  “I love working side by side with my employees.”
Kelly’s many duties include overseeing and managing the clinic and hospital admissions staff, answering phones, assisting with patient and employee concerns, attending meetings, training new employees and Kelly also works on the clinic schedules for both the providers and admitting staff.
“Over the years I have truly witnessed such goodness from everyone working here at SMH,” commented Kelly.  “I have watched compassion and comfort in the time of one’s loss, I have watched employees lift up and console patients and each other during hard times, and laugh and joke during good times.  I have seen employees hold the hands of grieving patients and families and have seen and felt sadness in the loss of our beloved patients, who aren’t just numbers to us.  I have watched our providers sacrifice so much to ensure that SMH continues to deliver top notch patient care.  I have seen all personality types come together and work as a team for the betterment of our facility and patients.  This experience has been so humbling to me; I just want to thank everyone, because without each of you I would be nothing and would not be able to do my job.  I think each of you deserves this honor; as everyone here give so much.  I have such a great team surrounding me and for this I am truly blessed.”
When asked about her family and hobbies; Kelly commented.  “I love spending time with my family; they are the most important thing in my life.  As far as hobbies; I enjoy volleyball, camping and fishing I also love riding horses and moving cattle.”
Kelly’s family continues to grow; in addition to her husband, Wally, of 24 years, Kelly’s family consists of three children; Dana Crow, Cody Young and Wyatt Williams.  She also has one son-in-law, Scott Crow, one daughter-in-law, Jessica Young, and four grandchildren; Payton, Gage and Rhett Crow and Layton Young.  Kelly’s family will increase in the next several months with the addition of a new daughter-in-law, MaKayla, in April and a new grandchild in July.
