attend Idaho Catholic Youth Convention
As our charter bus rumbled onto the Bishop Kelly Campus, we became part of the huge crowd of teens - a mass totaling 1,650 altogether. Over the course of the next three days, we were greatly inspired by the enthusiastic talks of Brian Kraut, Sister Miriam, Danny Ray, and Bob Rice. Each speaker shared the message of the Gospel in their own special way - so that when the convention was over, we had each learned about the faith in a way that most inspired us. During this faith-filled expedition, the encouraging presence of holy priests, sisters, and seminarians was always present and kept us motivated. We were even blessed to meet three amazing bishops: Bishop Peter Christensen, Bishop Michael Driscoll, and Bishop Liam Cary from Baker, Oregon! We were also fortunate to be able to go to Mass twice, attend the Sacrament of Reconciliation, say the Rosary in Spanish and English, and venerate Christ during adoration. It was a wonderful experience that brought us each closer to Jesus. Our chances of a successful ICYC would have been slim had we not had the support and prayers of our caring parish community. We want to thank our sponsors who donated so generously, our loving and dedicated parents, all the people of the Tri-Parish who prayed for the safety and success of our trip, as well as Debbie Chicane and all the chaperones who were present with us during our journey of faith. May God richly bless the Tri-Parish community as He has so greatly blessed us!
