Call for entries for Raspberry Festival Quilt Show
Quilters are invited to enter their handiwork in the Raspberry Festival quilt show to be held Sunday, August  2 at the Monastery of St. Gertrude, 465 Keuterville Road, in Cottonwood.
The quilt show is one of many family-friendly activities at the 23rd Annual Raspberry Festival, which is a fundraiser for the Historical Museum at St. Gertrude. For the first time, this year's quilt show will feature a special section highlighting youth projects. Youth projects will not be subject to an entry fee and will include any hand or machine sewn project (excluding clothing) made by someone under the age of 16.
Entries may be dropped off at the Welcome Center inside the Historical Museum at St. Gertrude during the month of July during regular business hours, Tuesday-Saturday 9:30-4:30. Pick up quilts between 3:00-5:00 the day of festival or call to pick up the following week.
Participants may also sign up for other events including a 10K Fun Run and 5K Walk and car show. The festival will also feature a pancake Breakfast, arts and crafts fair, kids carnival, and museum and Chapel tours. Burgers and Raspberry Shortcake top off the day of old-fashioned family fun.
Learn more about Raspberry Festival and sign up for the quilt show, car show, and fun run at www.MyRaspberryFestival.org or call 208-962-5063.
