Keep the Money in the Family – Plan Your Estate!
Thurs 10/8; 6:30-8:30pm
By: Jeannene Musegades; Cost: $20
At: GEMS
Is it worth my time and money to have an estate plan?  Is a simple Will enough or should I have a trust?  I told my family who I want to take care of my kids -- is that enough?  What are the options for land-rich/cash poor farm families?  It's hard enough to deal with the loss of a loved one without adding the legal issues of losing some of the estate to taxes.  A little pre-planning can make the process so much easier.  Learn the difference between a will and a trust as well as the burdens of each.  Long-term care financial decisions, living wills and powers of attorney are also part of the estate planning process. Learn the plan that is perfect for your family.
