Quilts of Valor
Here it is already the middle of October.  Where does the time go?  The Camas Prairie Quilt of Valor ladies have been very busy making quilts to honor our local veterans.  In May 2015, we presented 18 quilts to service men. We are proud to say that we will be presenting 20 quilts on November 11, at the elementary.  They have a special program ready to also honor those men and women who served their country.  They served the country leaving home, wives, husbands, parents and children.  This is the least we can do to show our appreciation for their service.
If you have someone in our local area, Cottonwood, Ferdinand, Greencreek and Keuterville and outlying areas who you feel would qualify for a quilt, please fill out the sheet of paper printed below in this newspaper and mail to Shirley Baerlocher.  The name and information will be added to our list.
We are beginning to work on quilts for the spring presentation on Memorial Day.  This takes a lot of material, time and co-ordination on all our parts.  If you would be interested in sewing a quilt top or a quilt, donating money for fabric or doing the hand sewing, please contact Shirley Baerlocher 208-962-3107.
