New signs installed
The Prairie Booster Club started on a project just about a year ago to replace the PHS sports championship sign. The old sign was falling apart and had some incorrect years.  Our officers with the help of Dawn Marie at Eggen signs designed and ordered a new sign that would last much longer and would enable us to add future championships.  At the same time Prairie Elementary received their award and also purchased a sign.  (Eggen signs also gave us a great deal on the signs.)
We need to thank the following for their generous donation of material, time, and help:
Brett Uhlenkott Drilling came in and donated the drilling for the four holes, the casing and iron for the frames and posts.   With the help of Tom Uhlenkott, Greg & Casey Danly, and Brett Uhlenkott the frames were welded and the signs were put up Friday before the last home football game.  Rick Forsmann donated his pump hoist to come in and set up the signs.  Brett, Jerry Forsmann, and Dustin Schaeffer all volunteered and helped transport and set up the signs.
Also, Terran Peery’s senior project (which is still in process) is landscaping around the signs for the Booster Club.  Greg & Lynn Danly have donated the three shrubs that are in place and Roy Uhlenkott donated his time and the City of Cottonwood for the backhoe to dig and help place the shrubs.  Greg & Casey Danly, Brett, and Terran planted the shrubs.

The new State Championship and Blue Ribbon School signs were mounted last Friday near the football field. See story below for information. Photo by Cara Uhlenkott.
