Idaho County Democrats meet
The November 30th meeting of the Idaho County Democrats was held at the Twisted Cellar, with a new and old theme to it.  Jesse Maldonado, City Councilman for Lewiston, 21, spoke to us about involvement in the political process.  He said he knew at an early age he wanted to be a politician.  His teachers told him to choose a "real occupation."  Jesse Maldonado announced he will be running for the Vice Chair of the Idaho Democratic Party. To share our support, we passed the contribution jar.
Jesse also got to talk with our statesman, Dick Adams, who was honored for his years serving our District, representing his constituency at Boise.  Dick and Karen will be moving from Kooskia, relocating in Clarkston.  Dave and Pat Green were also recognized for their citizenship and community involvement over the years in Grangeville and Idaho County and are on their way to Bend Oregon.  We will miss them all and hope they come back often.
The Blue Auction is going on at the Idaho State Party's Website, https://www.32auctions.com/buyblue2016
Also, this season is a good time to join the Dem Club or add to your contribution. Local contributions to the State can make a difference in getting more Democrats in the legislature.
Beginning again in January, monthly party meetings will be held on the second Monday of the month.  Visit the Idaho County Democrats Facebook page for location or call Michelle Perdue at 983 3763.
