January events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ,
The New Year always sparks resolutions and intentions of change.  It opens the door for becoming better and seeking a new path for ourselves.  This invitation also has to do with our spiritual lives as we seek to grow closer to God in new and different ways.  Our January youth events and activities provide opportunities for your spirit to flourish through retreat, prayer, service, fun, and study.  Please join us in this New Year and know your presence is very valued, by your friends, peers, leaders and especially by God! 
We will begin the month with on Friday with an invitation to worship our Savior by attending Adoration at 10:00 p.m. on Jan. 1st.  What a great way to start the New Year by spending some quality time with our Lord.  
On Jan 3rd the Confirmation class with meet at the CEC at 7:00 p.m. to continue their study in the “Chosen” program.  Please remember to bring your books.  
On Jan. 4th the “Steubenville Posse” will meet at the OMG at 7:00 p.m. to continue their journey of discussion and learning from our video presenters.  We will have dessert and drinks as part of the evening.  Each member of the Steubenville group is encouraged to bring a friend to this great learning session. A huge thank you goes out to Jim Chmelik for leading us on this faith filled adventure.  I will be teaching the first RCIT group in my office at 4:00 on Jan. 4th. (All Jr. High or High school youth who plan on being baptized at Easter please be present as begin this amazing journey together).  
Our Dec. movie night was moved to Jan. 6th at 7:00 p.m. for Jr. High and High School youth.  Please bring your friends as we gather to celebrate the final days of the Christmas season!  
Our REACH planning meeting for High School Peer Ministers is set for Jan. 11th at 7:00 p.m. If you are in High School and want to help with planning and leading a Junior High faith session please join us.  We will have hot dogs, chips, and pop for dinner so I know you can’t refuse.   
On Jan. 13th the Haiti Mission team 2016 will meet at the CEC at 7:00.  Bill and Sharon Snow will be there to present more information on our summer trip.  I need you to bring me a piece of paper with your full name, address, parent’s name, birthdate, phone number, and email.  I will be using this information to make our flight reservation.  It is very important that you attend this meeting.  We will also spend a short time discussing our breakfast fundraiser and chili and cinnamon roll delivery for Super Bowl!  
All selected High School leaders for God Squad for ICYC will be attending a retreat at All Saints on Jan 15th-16.  We will meet in the Church parking lot at 4:15 on the 15thand will return home on Saturday around 4:30.  There is no cost to this retreat.  
On Jan. 20th the Jr. High and High School youth are invited to the REACH session at the OMG youth room at 7:00 p.m.  Please join us for this faith session as High School youth lead our young people in discovering God through prayer, skits, fun, and Scripture!  On Jan. 22nd all of our High School youth are invited to attend an amazing event by an amazing speaker.  We will meet at the Church Parking lot at 4:30 to go to Lewiston.  We will stop at the triangle and eat and then head to the event at All Saints Church. Sean Forrest will be speaking.  His theme for the evening is, “Believe in God or Not”.  I have seen Sean speak and his message is incredible.  I will have forms available for you to attend by the first of Jan.  Sean is also doing a family night at All Saints Church in Lewiston on Jan. 23rd at 7:00 p.m.  I highly encourage families to attend this night of humor, music, and straight talk.  It will be well worth your time! 
On Jan. 24th the Confirmation class will meet at the CEC @ 7:00 p.m.  Our Small group Bible Study will be on Jan. 25that the OMG . Pizza will be served at 6:30 p.m. and our session will be from 7:00 to 8:00.  We will go for a chilly walk at 8:00.  All High School youth are invited to attend! On Jan. 30th the Jr. High and High School youth will be attending a Rally in Coeur d’Alene.  We will leave from the parking lot at 6:30.  You must pick up a form and fill it out by Jan. 6th.  I am in need of drivers and chaperones so if you are interested please let me know!  The Haiti team will also be taking cinnamon roll and chili orders for Super Bowl Sunday on Jan 31st.  Please watch the bulletin and paper for more information. 
As you can see the New Year brings with it great invitations and opportunities for growth in your faith.  Please say, “Yes” and let’s see what God has in store for you in the New Year!
