Cereal School set for Greencreek
The University of Idaho Extension Cereal Schools for north Idaho dryland producers will be held January 26th at the Community Center in Greencreek and January 27th at the Ketch Pen on the Roundup Grounds in Lewiston.  There is a $10 charge to help pay room rental and other refreshments at the Lewiston location.  The Idaho Barley Commission and Idaho Wheat Commission are hosting lunch.  Idaho pesticide license and Certified Crop Advisor credits are available.  Washington pesticide license credits have been requested.
This year’s agenda includes updates in north Idaho wheat and barley production, variety testing, weed science, and oilseed production.  In addition, a regional soil acidity survey and liming research results will be discussed.  The Idaho Wheat Commission and Idaho Barley Commission will also provide updates on current issues and markets.
Lunch is being catered by our own Nez Perce County 4-H Citizenship Washington Focus group. This group of teens are raising funds to attend the National 4-H Youth Conference in June 2017.
For more information or to preregister, contact the UI Extension/Nez Perce County office at (208) 799-3096 or nezperce@uidaho.edu.  Preregistration is appreciated in order to have enough materials and lunches available.
