open house planned
Democratic candidate for District 7 Senate seat, Ken Meyers, is hosting an open house in Grangeville, this Thursday. 
The public is invited to meet Meyers at the Grangeville Senior Center at 6:00 PM, April 14th. District 7 includes Shoshone, Clearwater and Idaho Counties as well as a portion of Bonner County. Current District 7 seat is held by Sheryl Nuxoll. A primary race will be held on the Republican ballot. May 17. From the Sandpoint “Reader”: A former Washington State University veterinary physiology professor and associate dean, Meyers said he’ll focus on economic issues, providing more opportunities for the working poor while improving conditions for the middle class. Meyers also emphasizes conservation, the protection of natural resources and the importance of Idaho’s public lands. He promises not to “waste time and taxpayers’ money on inconsequential issues or issues already decided by the Supreme Court.” |
