Greencreek Dinner is Sept. 24
Saturday, September 24, the Idaho County Democrats will once again be holding their election year dinner at Greencreek Hall. "Greencreek" as it is known, is an Idaho County institution; Frank Church announced his run for US Congress at a Greencreek dinner, in the 1950s.  The theme of the 2016 Greencreek dinner is "Celebrating Idaho Women Who Broke Barriers."
This Greencreek will find fun, food and fellowship among area Democrats with candidates coming from as far away as Twin Falls: James Piotrowski, candidate for Idaho's First Congressional District; Deborah Silver, candidate for Idaho Senate from District 24; Kenneth Meyers, Idaho Senate candidate from District 7 and Jessica Chilcott, candidate for Idaho House, District 7.  Representatives from the Idaho Young Democrats will be there, too.  Yard signs and hand cards for the candidates will be available to pick up.
Grangeville's own, Mundek Clement-Stein, will be the emcee, again.  Mundek graduated from Grangeville High and was prom king his senior year.  He now lives in Boise and works as a stand-up comedian.  Music will be performed by more local talent, the Syndicat Bros, Pete Northcutt and Johnny Henderson.  The duo plays guitars, banjo, harmonica and percussion instruments.
Doors open at 5:00 with the social hour and no-host beer and wine bar open throughout the evening.  The meal prepared as usual by the Greencreek St. Anthony's Altar Society, will be served at 6:00.  The same wonderful meatloaf as served at the 2014 Greencreek is on the menu with a vegetarian offering for those who wish it.
Speakers, a group singing of "There We Have Idaho"  and a silent auction, raffle and pinata will round out the event.  Tickets for the entire evening cost $20.  Contact Janice Inghram at 983 0616 for ticket reservations.  To donate an item for the silent auction, please call Michelle Perdue at 983 3763.

The Syndicat Bros., Pete Northcutt and Johnny Henderson, will provide musical entertainment at the Greencreek Dinner.

Grangeville's own, Mundek Clement-Stein, will be the emcee at the Greencreek Dinner.
