VFW breakfast set for Jan. 22
Well, time marches on and here it is 2017; nearly time for the VFW sponsored breakfast cooked by the Prairie Quilters. The Quilters have taken a few weeks off to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s with family and friends, but it is time to get back to sewing our quilts for veterans. We will be sewing Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at 9:15-2 pm at St. Mary’s Church. Do you have your calendars marked for Jan. 22, 2017? That is the date of the VFW sponsored breakfast cooked by the quilters. There will be biscuits and sausage gravy, ham, eggs and hashbrowns. Breakfast will be served from 7:30-12:30 pm at the Cottonwood Community Hall. There will be a Quilt Presentation at 12 Noon. If you want tickets for the breakfast in advance, please call or email Shirley Baerlocher, Judy Forsman, Jeanne Arnzen, Lynn Sonnen or Debbie Stubbers. We will start serving breakfast at 7:30 am and end at 12:30 pm. Other important info: If you are new to the area and a veteran or if you know of a veteran who has not received a quilt, please call Shirley Baerlocher or Judy Forsman for a form and we will get you on our list.
