'Treasure Island' to be performed Friday
Follow young Jim Hawkins and his friends as they sail a dangerous sea of adventure with Long John Silver and his pirate band at the helm this Friday, March 17 when the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) and over 50 local students present an original musical adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s epic novel TREASURE ISLAND.
The local cast features Lee Forsmann as Jim Lee Hawkins and Trinity Martinez as Mother Hawkins and Jesse Cronan, Laney Forsmann, Adeline Geis, Morgan Poxleitner, Chloe Rowland, Tristan Staneart, and Gloria Williams as the rollicking Pirate crew. Jim’s six Sisters are played by Pixie Jones, Mattie Lustig, Sarah Lustig, Josie Remacle, Kerri Villamor, and Sapphire Yorke while Noah Behler, Molly Johnson, Becca Jones, Olivia Klapprich, Peter Remacle, and Hailey Wilson are featured as his Ruffian friends. The cuddly Gulls are played by Brooke Bennett, Alaina DeCaria, Ashton Martin, Kane McIntire, Ella McLeod, Maggie Nuxoll, Sheridan Ousnamer, Cecilia Remacle, Cooper Riener, Kennedy Riener, Kylee Riggers, Halee Rowland, Mikayla Rowland, Erica Schlader, Steel Uhlenkott, and George Villamor  and the seacoast Villagers are Harlee Brannan, Dylan Forsmann, Oliver Hinman, Hayden Johnson, Miranda Klapprich, Kaylie Lockett, Alaina Lustig, Ember Martin, Levi McElroy, Stephanie Niland-Spears, Ellie Nuxoll,  Derek Pack, Morgan Pack, Mikayla Rose, Tommy Rose, Taylor Riener, Lexi Schumacher, Rebecca Seubert, Elizabeth Severns,  Sydney Shears, Grace Uhlenkott, Ryder Uhlenkott, and Isabella Walsh.  Ravin Cronan, Shae Dinning, Anna Everson, and Jordan Quick have served as invaluable assistant directors throughout the week.
TREASURE ISLAND will be presented at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the Prairie High School Gym. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and are available at at the door.
TREASURE ISLAND was originally developed by the Missoula Children's Theatre in partnership with NorthWestern Energy. The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in Cottonwood is presented locally by The Center For Discovery with support from Prairie Booster Club, Fred’s Body Shop, Harman Agency, Dale and Brandy McElroy and two anonymous donors.
