May events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ,
The month of May is upon us.  Can you believe that school is almost out? It seems like it just started! As the school year closes we continue to praise our Lord through the celebration of prayer, fun, socials, Liturgy, walks, retreats and more.  It is here that we find God in the midst of our busy lives.  Please looks at this month’s opportunities and prayerfully consider joining us in this great adventure we call faith!
We will start the month of May off with a Haiti meeting on May 1st at 7:00 p.m.  to discuss and plan for the May 20th yard sale. All team members need to be present.
On May 3rd we will have a prayer night for our Jr. High youth.  We had to cancel our scheduled night of “praying in colors”.  So we will reschedule it for May 3rd at the OMG youth room at 7:00.  We will not have dinner but will have snacks.  I hope you can all make it to this colorful activity.
On May 6th the Jr. High will be heading to Moscow for a day retreat.  We will meet in the parking lot at 8:15 am and will finish the retreat at 6:00 p.m.  We will eat at the Mall following the retreat and be home around 9:30. Please let me know if you would like to attend. I am still in need of adult drivers.
On May 9th I will be attending a Deanery meeting with the other North Central Deanery youth ministers at the Monastery.
On May 10th the small group Bible study will meet to finish studying Tobit. The night will begin with pizza at 6:30 and finish with an hour study and a walk.  All High School youth are invited to attend.
On May 13th our Haiti team will be walking in the “Walk for Life” at Grangeville. This walk is hosted by the “Hope Pregnancy” Center and all proceeds from participating in this walk will help the center with expenses in the upcoming year.  If you would like to support our team, please contact Debbie with your pledge or just put it in the Sunday collection.  Thank you for your support!
On May 13th we will be meeting at St. Mary’s Church Parking lot at 8:00 a.m.. Please bring your pledges with you or give them to Debbie prior to the Walk!
The Graduation Mass is scheduled for St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m. on May 14th.  All graduates from Summit Academy and Prairie High School are invited to attend this celebration of accomplishment and honor!  Graduates are asked to wear their gowns to the Mass and please arrive at 9:30 a.m. for line up. The end of the School Bash is scheduled for May 17th at St Mary’s Church.  We will have dinner, Angela Seubert is cooking and dinner begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by games and smores.  All of the parish youth and families are invited to this great celebration.  It is a great time to come together to praise God for a great school year.  We can’t wait to see you and your family!
On May 19th the Haiti mission team will meet at the Church at 6:30 p.m. to begin setting up for the yard sale.  All members are asked to bring the items they want to sale.
On May 20th the Haiti team will host a yard sale in the Church parking lot.  Team members are asked to be present by 7:30 to help with the sale.
We will be having a Sunday night Youth Mass at St. Mary’s at 6:00 p.m. on May 21st and all youth are invited to attend. This Mass is open to everyone is especially for our young people.  We are so excited about this Mass and can’t wait to see how God works through it!
On May 24th the youth room will be open from 7:00 to 9:00 for anyone who just wants to come and hang out.  This time of year is so busy so I am offering a night without an agenda, just a time to relax and visit.  We will have snacks and drinks and everyone is welcome!
On May 29th we celebrate and honor our loved ones through remembrance.  Enjoy and rejoice in your family and loved ones this day!
On May 31st I will be taking the High school on a great movie excursion to Lewiston or Grangeville depending upon the movie.  We will leave the Church parking lot at 4:45 p.m.  I am in need of adult drivers for this great adventure as we close the month of May and the school year!  Please let me know as soon as possible if you can help.
