passes, Schumacher re-elected
The polls closed Tuesday after this week's print edition came off the press. Below are the results: The $350,000 override levy for Cottonwood School District #242 passed overwhelmingly with a 71% yes vote. There were 269 yes votes and 112 no votes. By precinct: Cottonwood 1 & 2-115 yes, 38 no. Fenn-3 yes, 9 no; Ferdinand-18 yes, 17 no; Greencreek-84 yes, 28 no; Keuterville-33 yes, 20 no; Absentee-16 yes, 0 no. In the contested Greencreek Highway District election for Subdistrict 2 commissioner, John Schumacher was re-elected by a 60-54 count over challenger Justin L. Nuxoll. Steven A. Sonnen was unopposed and received 89 votes.
