officials are sought
Recruitment is under way for new football officials for high school and junior high school football in Idaho’s District 2. The first meeting, which is the annual state clinic, will be held Monday, July 31 at 7 p.m. at the Lewiston High School Auditorium. Additional meetings will take place throughout August. Games are played late August through mid-November. Officials in District 2 work junior high up to varsity level games at schools stretching from Grangeville to Potlatch. Games take place nearly every night of the week with most varsity games reserved for Friday nights. Officials can expect to work 2-3 games per week, depending upon other commitments they may have. To register online, visit the Idaho High School Activities Association website at www.idhsaa.org, click on the Officials tab and follow the instructions. Registration is open from July 12 through August 14 and is $40 if registration is completed by August 14. After August 14, the cost is $65.
