A note from the principal
School is right around the corner….
Hello,
I wanted to take a second to introduce myself, as well as provide with you some important dates coming up in the district.
My name is Jon Rehder (for those of you who don't know me), I am the new principal of Prairie Jr/Sr High School.  For the past 16 years, my wife, Renee and I have lived in the Boise area with our 2 daughters, Ali (8th grade) and Aubree (5th grade).  During my educational career, I taught for 10 years at Meridian High School (West Ada School District) and for the past 3 years, I have been a vice principal at Jefferson Middle School in the Caldwell School District.  Renee has worked for Boise State University for the past 12 years.  My wife and I are lucky enough to bring our girls "home" and raise them in the community we grew up in.  I am a 1996 graduate from Prairie High School and my wife graduated in 1997 from Prairie High School.  We are looking forward to connecting with as many people as possible throughout the community!

I will continue with the “Daily Bulletin” that Carrie Nygaard has sent out the past 5 years.  I have the parent distribution list that Carrie shared with me.  If you are currently on that list, you will continue to receive emails from me.  If you are not on the list, but would like to be added, please send me an email (rehderj@sd242.org) and I would be happy to add you.  If you have any questions or concerns, let me know.
I look forward to reconnecting with the Cottonwood community!
Go Pirates!
