volleyball starts Saturday
The District 2 1A-D1 and 1A-D2 volleyball tournaments start this Saturday, Oct. 14 at the LCSC Activity Center. Winners bracket matches will be at 4 p.m. Saturday. If Prairie wins they would likely play 2nd seeded Troy, who faces C.V. in the first round The loser of the Prairie-Lapwai match plays the loser of the Troy-C.V. match at 7 p.m. Saturday in a loser-out match. Two more loser-out matches are set for Monday, Oct. 16 at 6 and 7:30 p.m. Monday’s survivors will play at 6 p.m. Tuesday followed by the championship match at 7:30 p.m. The champion advances to state while the loser plays the losers bracket survivor for second place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. The second place team will play Wallace at Moscow Saturday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. for a trip to State. If they beat Deary and Logos they would play in the championship match Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. A win there puts them in the state tournament. A loss sends them to the 2nd place match Thursday at 6 p.m. If they wind up in the loser out game Monday and win that they would play again at 6 p.m. Wednesday. If they win that they would advance to the second place match against the championship match loser. The second place team advances to a state play-in match at Grangeville Saturday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. |
