City elections set for Nov. 7
City Council and Mayor elections are set to be held Tuesday, November 7 for both Cottonwood and Ferdinand.
In Ferdinand the races are uncontested as each of the incumbents is running for re-election with no write-ins having filed.
Scott Oliver is running for re-election as mayor while Michelle Lindgren and Ronald W. Riener are running for re-election to their respective council positions.
Cottonwood meanwhile has contested elections for City Council.
Appointed incumbent Linda Nida is facing a challenge from Daniel Sigler for a 2-year term.
Incumbents Ron Grant and Pat Holthaus are up for re-election to their 4 year terms with Lynn Guyer also in the running. Voters are asked to vote for two among the three vying for election.
Seth (Pepper) Harman is the only candidate to have filed for Mayor. Incumbent Shelli Schumacher has moved out of town and had to resign.
