November events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ,
This month bring with it the heart of gratitude and thankfulness. It’s a time to step back and appreciate all of the gifts God has given us throughout the year.  However, we cannot just stand in this gratitude, so this month we will respond to God’s graciousness through giving back.  Please consider joining us this month as we strive to live out the Gospel in our daily activities.
On Nov. 1st all High School youth are asked to join us at 7:00 p.m. to plan for Thanksgiving box/basket delivery.  Your input is greatly needed so please plan on joining us and bring your friends.  On Nov. 3rd all youth and adults are invited to spend an hour with the Lord for Adoration at St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 p.m.  Please consider spending some quiet time with God reflecting upon how much God has given you through his life, death and resurrection.  We are so blessed, sometimes we just need to stop and remember! On Saturday, Nov. 4th we are going to try to get our roadside clean up done for the year!  We will be meeting at Debbie’s office at 10:30 for instructions and then head to highway 95.  Following cleanup, we will head to Grangeville for lunch at Subway.  I would love to have adult help along with the Jr. High and High School youth.  Please pray for sunshine, if it rains we will cancel.  On Sunday, Nov. 5th our Confirmation class will meet at the CEC at 6:30 p.m. Please bring your books!
On Monday, Nov 6th the High School youth will meet at the OMG at 7:00 p.m. to plan the Thanksgiving feast that they will be hosting for the Jr. High. This is a great event as all the youth come together to enjoy a time of fellowship and community.  On Wednesday, Nov. 8th the Haiti Mission Team will meet at the OMG at 7:00 p.m. to plan the poinsettia fundraiser for December.  All team members are asked to be present!  On Nov 11th the High School youth will be attending a one-day retreat in Moscow.  We will leave from the St. Mary’s church Parking lot at 8:30 a.m. and return at 10:30 on Saturday night.  The cost is $25.00 and there is still room if you want to attend.  Please contact Debbie if you are interested!
The Jr. High are invited to a social at the OMG on Nov. 13th.  We will begin the night at 6:30 with pizza and watch a movie at 7:00 p.m.  Please bring your friends for this night of fun!  All of the Jr. High are invited to the CEC @ 6:30 on Nov. 15th for a feast hosted by the High School.  The meal will be followed with a movie or games.  The high School youth need to be at the CEC at 5:30 to get things set up!
The Confirmation class will meet at the CEC at 6:30 on Nov. 19th.  Please remember to bring your books!  On Nov. 20th the High School youth will meet at the OMG room at 5:30 to begin putting boxes and baskets together for delivery.  We will begin delivery around 6:15 p.m.  Please remember to bring your assigned items and thank you for your generous help in making a difference in the lives of the people in our communities and parishes!  (Parents, if you want to donate toward our Thanksgiving basket project, you can drop off your donation at the Church office. Thank you in advance for your support). Happy Thanksgiving on Nov. 23rd, enjoy your friends and family!
On November 29th Chris Stefanick will be in Lewiston at All Saints Parish.  I am encouraging every young person I know to attend this night of grace!  Chris is a national speaker and will be presenting from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30. The tickets cost $20.00, but if you are in Jr. High or High School I will sell them for $10.00 and subsidize the rest.  I just need to know if you need a ticket so please contact me before they run out!  I will have parents helping me drive to this event so let’s see how many cars we can fill up!  You won’t regret it!  We will be leaving from the St. Mary’s parking lot at 5:30 p.m.  and returning home around 10:30 p.m.
This is the time of year we look to the cross to remember why we should have hearts of gratitude.  We have a God who reached out to save us and give us new life, let’s not forget to respond out of this amazing love!  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I am thankful for you!
With deep Gratitude,
Debbie
