events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth on Christ, The Advent and Christmas season is upon us. It is a time to rejoice in the God who humbled himself to come to the earth as a tiny babe. As a youth group we have many activities planned to remember this time of year and its significance in our lives. Please consider joining us as we share Gods gifts of love, faith, fun, and community with each other and those around us! We will begin the month on Dec. 1st with a time of Adoration of our Lord. We will come together to spend quiet time with God on Dec. 1st at 10:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church. All Jr High and High School youth are encouraged to attend. This is a great time to stop the busyness of the season and quiet your heart to truly understand the meaning of the season! On Dec. 3rd the Confirmation class will meet at 6:30 at the CEC. Please bring your books! On Dec. 4th all High School youth are asked to come to the youth room to address Christmas cards to our college youth. We will have pizza at 6:30 so please join us and make the holiday season a little brighter for our college students! On Dec. 6th the High School youth will meet at 5:00 p.m. to head to Lewiston to walk through the lights and attend the movie, “The Star” in Lewiston. Please bring enough money for the movie and snacks. We will pay for dinner afterward. I will need adult drivers so please ask your parents if they are interested in driving. On Saturday, Dec. 9th all High School youth are encouraged to help decorate the float for the light parade. We will meet at the Cottonwood City Shed at 10:30 and decorate until around 2:30, please join us for this day of fun! We will have pizza at 12:00 and lots of pop to keep you going! On Dec. 10th we will meet at Debbie’s office @ 3:00 p.m. to get dressed for the parade, please don’ t be late. All High School youth are encouraged and invited to ride the float. I will need a group to help undecorate the float after the parade at the City Shed. Please ask your parents to help with this so we can get it done fast. On Dec. 13th the Jr. High is invited to the OMG for a night of discussing “Success”. We will have pizza at 6:30 and study from 7:00 to 8:00 and social at 8:30. Jr. High Please invite your friends! On Dec. 14th the Haiti team will be delivering poinsettia’s. Debbie will be at the Church until 5:00 p.m. for you to pick your flower up. We would like to thank you all so much for ordering from our team. We are all such an amazing support for us! On Dec. 17th the Confirmation class will meet right after the 10:00 a.m. Mass., this is a change from our normal schedule! We will meet from 11:15 to 12:30. On Dec. 18th the Youth Leadership team will meet at Debbie’s office at 7:00 for the next step in learning how to teach a Bible study. On Dec. 20th the Jr. High and High School are invited to meet at the OMG at 5:45 to begin our caroling. We will carol at the hospital and condominiums. After caroling, we will go back to the OMG for food and a white elephant gift exchange. Please bring a wrapped gift with you for the white elephant gift exchange. Please join us for this great night of fun! Merry Christmas to everyone on Dec. 25th. I pray your day is filled with God’s joy and love as you are surrounded by family and friends. On Dec. 28th all the college students will be invited to a night of friendship at the Habit. The High School will host a night of food and coffee from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This will be a great way for our young people to catch up with old friend and share stories with each other. So, if you know any college students coming home please let them know about this night and tell if they join us, they will get a free coffee! This month brings with it so much busyness.
