Senior Meal Program reorganizes
Prairie Mountain Nutrition, Inc. is the newly formed nonprofit entity organized to manage the senior meal program for the Cottonwood and Winchester areas.  Meals served beginning Tuesday January 2, 2018 will be provided by Prairie Mountain Nutrition, Inc. who will work year-round to help seniors stay healthy by providing hot, nutritious meals across our community.
Meals will continue to be served at 12:00 noon Tuesdays in the Cottonwood City Hall and Wednesdays at the Craigmountain Senior Center in Winchester.  Hot and frozen meals are delivered at noontime to qualified individuals who are homebound.  Both programs help to improve the lives of older adults by supporting good nutritional health and promoting their independence and well-being.  In addition to the hot meals provided, the Pioneer Senior Citizens and the Craigmountain Senior Citizens provide social engagement and information on programs for aging residents.
Tiffany Forsmann, Meal Site Manager, will manage the program for both areas within the guidelines set up by Community Action Partnership.  Community members serving on the board of Prairie Mountain Nutrition, Inc. are Carol Altman, Connie Anderson, Joyce Forsmann, Gayle Foster, Mary Funke, Brandy McElroy, Arlene Parrish, Gabby Rehder, Joe Rehder and Chris Remacle.   Prairie Mountain Nutrition, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.  Donations to Prairie Mountain Nutrition, Inc. qualify as a tax-deductible charitable donation.  Any donations would be gratefully accepted.
