St. Mary's Hospital offers scholarships
If you are a senior in the Cottonwood community, and interested in pursuing a career in healthcare or education,St. Mary’s offers a college scholarship to help you achieve your dream. The SMHC Community This scholarship is known as the Sister Maryclare Kelly and Sister Stephanie Wardle Memorial Scholarship.  Both Sisters Maryclare and Stephanie gave years of service to the Cottonwood community. They believed in accepting people for who they are, in helping people believe in themselves and to grow in their gifts.
In the past years this scholarship has only gone to a senior of Prairie High School.  This year the SMHC Community Fund Committee voted to extend this scholarship to the Summit Academy seniors, as well as any senior in the Cottonwood community who is in an approved home school program. One person will be chosen from the applications received.
Both Prairie High School and Summit Academy have the scholarship applications on hand.  If you are a senior of an approved home school program, you may contact the committee at St. Mary’s Hospital (208-962-3251).   Sr. Barbara A. Bielenberg or any committee member will be happy to send you an application form.  The application must be complete and to the committee by April 30th to be considered.
